The rock paintings of La Lindosa in the Guaviare department of Colombia are the largest in existence and are over 12,000 years old. This short documentary is part of a series of documentary pieces we produced for the Gold Museum of the Bank of the Republic for the exhibition that will be on display throughout 2026 in Bogotá.

In southwestern Cundinamarca lies Pasca, a municipality of cold lands and landscapes that connect with the Sumapaz páramo. There, among mist-shrouded mountains, it was common for farmers to find Muisca archaeological remains. In 1969, in a cave on La Campana hill, one of those discoveries was the iconic Muisca raft.

How can the multisensory richness of landscapes, marshes, streams, and rivers be brought into the halls of the Zenú Gold Museum in Cartagena? This exhibition brings together the connection between birds, people, and ancestral sounds. To recover the sounds of ancient instruments, a multidisciplinary team from the Zenú Gold Museum—musicians, bird experts, farmers, Indigenous people, and academics—joined forces to explore the landscape and its artifacts, thus rescuing the sonic memory of the land and its inhabitants.
